OK everyone,
I have some good news, and some bad news.
The good news is that we’ve had some amazing weather in Washington DC, the birds are chirping, bees are buzzing and Spring is definitely in the air.
The bad news is that because of the great weather, peak bloom for the cherry blossoms will begin a week early, starting March 18th instead of March 24th so, if you made plans to be in town to see the blossoms, you might not get to see them, there will still be plenty of cheap and free things to do in the Nations Capitol even though the blossoms are not around, you will still have fun exploring the city.
If you live near the DC metro area you can take a day trip to see the blossoms, memorials, and monuments, don’t forget to bring your camera because the blossoms are beautiful along the Tidal Basin and National Mall.
If you miss the blossoms, don’t worry there will be plenty of amazing videos and pictures online, it won’t be the same as seeing them in person but you can still see the beauty of the cherry blossoms in Washington DC.
