Summer is just about over, and fall is slowly making its way to town, so if you are looking for something fun to do outdoors this weekend, check out the Alexandria Festival of the Arts.

 

Come out to see sculptures, paintings, pottery, photography, glass, jewelry and more. You can take a leisurely stroll down King Street admiring works of art, and participate in hands on art activities, artist demonstrations, and fun interactive projects .

So, if you are not doing this Saturday or Sunday, check out the Alexandria Festival of the Arts.


The festival is FREE and open to the public

Washington DC’s Longest Running Festival is this weekend!

 

This Sunday gather the family and take them out for a day of sun, fun, and culture at the 34th Annual Adams Morgan Day Festival, Sunday September 9th 2012, 12-7pm, on 18th St., NW between Columbia Road and Florida Avenue.

 

The children will definitely enjoy the kid’s fair:

  • Acro Spring Bungy Trampoline
  • Spider Climb
  • Bucanneer Pirate Ship Inflatable
  • Monkey Bounce

  • FacePainting (Noon – 6pm)!!  What would a Kids Fair be without face painting?  The Kids Fair Sponsor CAPCS Online will be offering free face painting…. Vampires, Princesses, Bears, Huggable Pets & Curly Q’s unlimited.

 

 

Grownups can have fun eating cultural food, while dancing away the calories with Jinga Dance Fitness, Sahara Belly Dancing and more

 

There will even be a health fair pavilion that will showcase health, sports, fitness, diet, and more. If you are interested in learning about going green, there will be a “green pavilion” with information about green technology, recycling, organic food, products, and more
